Accessibility statement

Our commitment to making contractor financial tools usable by as many people as possible.

Our commitment

BuildMetric aims to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is part of product quality: calculator inputs need visible labels, results need meaningful structure, and every workflow must remain usable without a mouse.

We test responsive layouts, keyboard navigation, focus visibility, semantic headings, error identification, color contrast, and common screen-reader behavior. Automated checks are useful but do not replace manual review.

Design practices

  • A skip link and consistent page landmarks
  • Programmatically associated labels, instructions, and errors
  • No meaning communicated by color alone
  • Touch targets designed for mobile use
  • Reduced dependence on motion and no time-limited calculator tasks

Known limits and feedback

Third-party source websites linked from BuildMetric may not meet the same standard. Mathematical notation can also be announced differently across assistive technologies, so formulas are accompanied by plain-language explanations.

If you encounter a barrier, email accessibility@mybuildmetric.com with the page, device, browser, assistive technology, and a description of the problem. We will acknowledge the report and work toward a practical resolution. Alternative access to content can be provided on request.
